Mehmet Osman is the Group Information Security Officer at Mount Street. Having started his career in Civil / Structural Engineering in the Oil and Gas Exploration sector, Mehmet moved over to Information Security when approached by Credit Suisse in the mid-1990s. With over 25 years of Information Security Leadership experience gained in Investment Banking, Insurance, Fintech, Government, Consulting and Satcoms he has a breadth and depth of international experience in all areas Information, IT and Cyber Security.

Previous senior leadership roles have been held at Capita where he was the first ever Group CISO. Other leadership roles at Deutsche Bank, RBS, Schroders, Legal and General, MHRA and Inmarsat. Not only is he well versed in his subject but also in the adjacent disciplines of Risk Management, Audit, Compliance and Enterprise IT.

Mehmet gained an MSc in Information Security from Royal Holloway University of London back in 2001 and continued to gain many other coveted industry certifications such CLAS, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA and ISO27001 Lead Auditor / Implementer. Mehmet is an active participant in various CISO Roundtables and Think Tanks centered around the City of London, where his advice has helped to reshape and focus Security technology offerings for real world practical applications.
